Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, Dorene enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. She can often be found hunting, fishing, shooting clay birds, gardening, camping, hiking with her dogs, or spending time with her grandson enjoying fishing, baseball, and four-wheeling adventures.
Dorene shares her home with her husband, Dan; Remington, a Shepherd mix; two cats, Dart and Duster.
Favorite Part of My Job
One of Dorene's favorite parts of her job is interacting with clients and helping ensure that both pets and their families receive the care and support they need. She takes pride in getting to know each client's individual needs and is known for her ability to remain calm and collected in any situation.
Education
Dorene has dedicated her career to veterinary medicine for more than two decades. After graduating from the Lehigh Carbon Community College and Northampton Community College Veterinary Technician Program in 2004, she gained experience in both general practice and emergency medicine, building a strong foundation in patient care, surgery, and client communication.
Work History
Throughout her career, Dorene worked at Telford Veterinary Hospital before joining Quakertown Veterinary Clinic, where she spent 15 years in emergency and surgical medicine. During that time, she served in a variety of roles, including orthopedic surgical nurse and supervisor of veterinary assistants, and helped launch and develop the hospital's therapeutic laser program. She joined Colmar Veterinary Hospital in 2020 and currently serves as a Client Service Representative.
