Certified Veterinary Technician

Personal Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, reading, and keeping up with her busy children. She shares her home with her husband, Brian; her son, Will; her daughter, Peyton; Max, her beloved Beagle mix and first "fur baby"; and Louie, the family's newest feline addition.

Favorite Part of My Job

Kelly enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, especially technician appointments, client education, and helping new pet owners navigate life with their pets. One of her favorite parts of the job is helping nervous or fearful animals feel more comfortable and watching them gain confidence during their visit. Her veterinary superpowers include earning the trust of shy pets and, according to her coworkers, manifesting sweet treats.

One of Kelly's favorite things about working at Colmar Veterinary Hospital is the supportive team environment. She appreciates working alongside coworkers who are always willing to help one another and enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Nothing makes her smile more than when a client remembers her and the care she provided.

Why I Chose This Profession

Kelly's passion for animal care began long before her veterinary career. She volunteered at dog shelters during college, completed an internship at Abbots Way Veterinary Clinic in Auckland, New Zealand, and worked as a doggy daycare attendant before becoming a veterinary technician.

Education

Kelly has always been an avid animal lover. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Clemson University in 2014 before pursuing an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology at Manor College, graduating in 2016. After passing the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE), she became a Certified Veterinary Technician in Pennsylvania and has been working in small animal practice ever since.
