Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, Dr. Kane enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. At home, they share their lives with Sydney, their Golden Retriever; Willow, their cat; chickens; and bees. They also enjoy the wildlife that frequents their property, including foxes, frogs, and red-tailed hawks.
Favorite Part of My Job
She especially enjoys complex internal medicine cases and helping clients make informed decisions about their pets’ care. Throughout her career, she has treasured the long-term relationships she has built with families and finds it incredibly rewarding to care for pets throughout every stage of their lives. Her lifelong love of animals inspires her to be a dedicated advocate for every patient, every day.
One of Dr. Kane’s favorite parts of veterinary medicine is partnering with pet owners to develop individualized care plans that support both their pets’ health and their families’ goals.
Education
Dr. Laura Kane grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and earned her degree in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley College in 1997. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.
Work History
Since graduation, Dr. Kane has practiced both emergency and general small animal medicine.
