Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys sewing accessories for small animal habitats, reading, gardening, and spending time with her pets. She shares her home with her significant other, Troy; Anush, her rescue dog; and Miko, her cat.
Favorite Part of My Job
Jessica enjoys caring for patients of all kinds but has a special interest in rabbits, pocket pets, and other exotic animals. Her coworkers affectionately know her as the “Guinea Pig Whisperer” because of her ability to connect with even the smallest patients.
One of Jessica’s favorite things about working at Colmar Veterinary Hospital is the team’s strong sense of camaraderie. She appreciates that everyone works together, supports one another, and is always willing to lend a helping hand, making Colmar a truly special place to work.
Why I Chose This Profession
Jessica discovered her passion for veterinary medicine while attending college, when she accepted her first position as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant in 2015. She quickly fell in love with the profession and worked her way up in the clinic while pursuing her veterinary technician certification. Since then, she has gained experience in general practice, urgent care, and emergency medicine.
Education
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley University in 2018 and her Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster College in 2022, becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.
